A Fleeting Visit to Castlefield Vintage Market
We had just enough time to visit Castlefield Market on Sunday just gone, it runs every week with the third Sunday of each month being the special vintage edition.
It was a gorgeous morning and we arrived just before ten with some folk still setting up. Castlefield Market is known for being an artisan market with fine, local foods and crafts, both of which were in plentiful supply, but there was also a really good amount of vintage too. Mens and ladies vintage clothing and accessories along with a huge amount of vintage vinyl and homewares filled the arches.
We were particularly enamoured with Petit Renard Rouge who “give old books new life” showcasing the beautiful illustrations that brought the books to life originally but are no longer seen as often if at all.
We also loved perusing Bottle Green Vintage‘s stall and having a good old nosy around generally. There’s a cafe area too but as we pining for bacon butties we didn’t stop here. This market is defiantly one to keep in mind if you have no plans for a Sunday, make the most of it whilst the weather is here!
